Ecuador - Documents on “slave redemption”

This historic documentation is in the Archive of the Congregation of the Mercedarian Friars, in the city of Quito. However its access is restricted. But we know through some historians of the existence of this collection informing that the priests in the colonial period collected alms and purchased slaves to grant them freedom.
