Cuba - Ruinas del Ingenio y Cafetal Angerona (Ruins of Angerona sugar mill and coffee plantation)

The set of elements that make up the site bear witness to a hacienda that was first a coffee plantation and later a sugar mill, property of German national Cornelio Souchay. It was described as the largest coffee growing plantation in the western area of the country, with the slave workforce estimated at 450 Africans.  The slave settlement stands out as unique.
