Competitive Funding for ICH safeguarding projects in 2016 |

The Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Latin America (CRESPIAL), in order to promote the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of our countries, convenes the third edition of the 2016 Competitive Funds for projects dedicated to the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Competitive Funds seek to provide full or partial funding for projects with a social initiative aimed at safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) of Latin America in the 15 CRESPIAL member countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The categories in which the projects may be proposed are:
ICH RESEARCH PROJECTS. Academic, technical, artistic and cultural studies relative to ICH safeguarding in Latin America, focusing on themes linked to the intangible cultural heritage in danger and/or in emergency situations.
ICH SAFEGUARDING PROJECTS. Proposals for launching programmes, projects and activities which promote ICH safeguarding and community participation.
This call counts with a US$ 60,000 (sixty thousand US dollars) budget, for the total or partial funding of the selected projects. The maximum amount funded by CRESPIAL for one project is US$ 10,000 (ten thousand US dollars). Three ICH research projects and three ICH safeguarding projects will be funded.
