16 March 2015/ Celarg/Portal of Culture of Latin America and the Caribbean
The Ministry of the People’s Power for Culture in Venezuela, together with the Rómulo Gallegos Centre for Latin American Studies (CELARG Foundation) has issued calls for both music and dance shows, as well as the organization of workshops on the performing arts, music and image.
The first calls on artists and professional creators from the music and dance world to present projects on these expressions, in order to choose those that will form part of the CELARG Foundation programme for 2015, which aims to present cycles of soloists and music groups, well as cycles of classical, contemporary, traditional Venezuelan, Latin American and Caribbean dance.
The second call invites artists, promoters and creators to present proposals for training workshops and the exchange of knowledge on the performing arts and music of Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held during the months of June and September 2015 at CELARG.
Both calls will close on Thursday, 16 April 2015.
Every year CELARG makes these and other calls which contribute to strengthen cultural and creative industries in Venezuela, as well as facilitate the dissemination of the rich and diverse Latin American and Caribbean cultural heritage.
