The meeting is organised on the basis of the functions assigned to the Subsidiary Committee by the Meeting of States Parties. In 2015, one of the main tasks of the Subsidiary Committee will be the examination of the national reports presented by the States.
The Committee was elected in May 2015. It has 18 members, 3 of them from Latin America and the Caribbean: Bolivia, Ecuador and Mexico.
