Objective:
Policies, programmes and actions governing entity, not only for the National Library but also for the country sixty public libraries. Its mission is to offer proper information services to the different users groups through the preservation, systematization and dissemination in order to encourage the full development of the nation and to safeguard Costa Rican cultural identity.
