Coordinated and financed by the UNESCO Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean since 2002, at the request of the Member States in the region, the Portal has become a regional platform offering wide coverage of the Organization’s activities and results in Latin America and the Caribbean.
It has become an indispensable and almost unique digital tool providing relevant information, in Spanish and English, on the performance and best practices in Culture of the 33 Member States in the region.
The Portal presents:

Updated information on the cultural authorities of the 33 Member States in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Thematic pages on the main lines of action/expected results of the UNESCO Major Programme IV on Culture.
•
News on the cultural activities and good practices of the Member States, as well as the actions undertaken by UNESCO in the region.

Cultural Agenda with information on the main events organized in the region.
•
Calls for events, courses, contests and awards in the region.
•
Pages dedicated to all the Forums of Ministers of Culture and Officials in Charge of Cultural Policies in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as all the Meetings of Ministers of Culture of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) held from 1989 to 2016, the date of the last meeting.
