Objective:
This organization gathers some institutions devoted to teach different expressions of Fine Arts. As part of its responsibilities they look after the work of all official institutions or those state subsidized teaching Fine Arts.
It aims at cooperating for the development and upgrading of the artistic and archaeological museums, ensuring the implementation of acts, regulations, methods and statutes regarding Fine Arts, industrial arts and artistic trades. Moreover, they also cooperate to organize artistic exhibitions, musical concerts, events and any kind of celebration aimed at increasing the public culture.
La Dirección General de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Head Office) was created by virtue of Act No. 311 dated July 19th, 1940.
