The National Library of Honduras organizes the Municipal Public Libraries and the libraries of the Cultural Centres of the country.
Likewise, it compiles all the printed and computerized bibliography produced in Honduras.
Objective:
Main activities:
- Cataloguing and classification of national bibliography;
- Collections up keeping and up dating: Honduran, Reference and International;
- Bibliographic supply and supervision of Municipal Public Library Network;
- Preparation of the Bibliographic yearbooks;
- ISBN records;
- Ancient Fund preservation;
- Training the staff in the country and abroad and library courses for Honduran librarians.
