Objective:
It was created according to Law no. 263 of November 25th, 1975. Its tasks are to compile and preserve all national bibliographic material related to the Dominican Republic nation, nature and people, either published or unpublished, from national or international writers, printed by any conventional means, recorded or copied; for its preservation and knowledge. This Library works as a bibliographic museum, so it preserves all ancient and updated material that for its character can be consider a bibliographic testimony.
