Created by Decree 1235 of the National Executive Power in order to collect, order, study and save definitively from any possibility of loss or destruction the cultural heritage that tango and its derived expressions mean.
The Academy has a large library. Seminars, plenary sessions, courses and exhibitions are regularly held at the Academy, where also is published a series of publications in different formats.
Objective:
Aimed at studying and promoting all facts that make the knowledge of Tango a cultural fact. Likewise the National Academy of Tango compiles, orders and preserves its entire documental heritage.
