2. Broaden and enhance the cultural scope of Trinidad and Tobago and by extension, the Caribbean region.
3. Play a key role in widespread instrumental learning and the development of musical education at all levels in Trinidad and Tobago.
4. Avenue for musicians to be engaged professionally.
5. Bring Trinidad and Tobago's symphonic music to local audiences.
6. Undertake exciting and varied programme of concerts and teaching.
7. Engage widest possible audience and reflect the diversity of the culture of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean.
