IncYOUTHbator: eight young Caribbean creatives will build new entrepreneurial skills |

The UNESCO programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union, announced the names of the entrepreneurs selected to participate in the professional meeting 'IncYOUTHbator: boosting youth's creative potential for a sustainable future', which will take place in Kingston, Jamaica, on 29 and 30 June 2022.

• Claudia Isaac Gómez (Cuba)
• Vernesse Henderson (Bahamas)
• Jacquelin Alcius (Haiti)
• Linsay Benoit (Haiti)
• Jamicia Mc Calman (Guyana)
• Edel William (Saint Lucia)
These eight young creators were chosen from over 121 applications from 15 Caribbean countries submitted to the UNESCO Transcultura call to participate in the event.
Aged between 18 and 35 and with projects in early stages of development, the selected participants will have the opportunity to benefit from mentoring and knowledge exchange sessions with leading Caribbean entrepreneurs, and representatives of incubator and accelerator programmes from the region and the European Union who will provide them with tips and advice on how to strengthen and scale up their business ideas.
UNESCO Transcultura is a four-year programme that promotes the creation of opportunities for young Caribbean artists and professionals to develop their careers in the cultural and creative industries. In line with this objective, the IncYOUTHbator meeting seeks to strengthen a diverse, vibrant and thriving cultural and creative ecosystem by promoting entrepreneurship through knowledge transfer and exchange.
