Gender equality and culture. Keys to achieving inclusive and sustainable global development
Lecture by Chilean specialist Paula Palacios Rojas. Monday, 20 July, 18 hrs

"Gender equality and culture" is the theme of the lecture by Chilean specialist Paula Palacios Rojas, jointly organised by the UNESCO Chair on Cultural Tourism Untref/AAMNBA and the UNESCO Villa Ocampo Programme. It will be delivered on Monday, 20 July, at 18 hours, at the auditorium of the Association of Friends of the National Museum of Fine Arts, 2280 Figueroa Alcorta Ave., in the city of Buenos Aires.

Under the slogan "UNESCO: 70 years in search of equality", the proposed activity aims at analysing the rights of women in cultural life and in the role of culture as a determining factor in developing a person's potential, regardless of gender.

Paula Palacios Rojas' lecture will deal with multiple and multidisciplinary dialogues and narratives concerning cultural heritage, museums, archives and collections, from an inclusive viewpoint.

Previously, Frédéric Vacheron and Ernesto Montequin will refer to the UNESCO Report "Gender Equality. Heritage and Creativity" and Victoria Ocampo's struggle for gender equality.
