  Siguiente Vista de Noticias
In November 2015 the implementation of the project Capacity building for the elaboration of the periodic reports stipulated by the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), is underway in Cuba with a multisectoral consultation including over 60 specialists. This consultation will be the first of a series of actions lasting until Abril 2016, at which time Cuba will submit its Second Quadrennial Report on the 2005 Convention.

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Culture, the institution in charge of elaborating the periodic reports, together with the Cuban National Commission for UNESCO and the Havana-based UNESCO Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean. It consists of five actions: (1) a multisectoral consultation, (2) a three-day workshop to strengthen the capacities of the national team in charge of elaborating the reports, (3) up to three technical meetings of the national team to elaborate the draft report, (4) a public presentation of the results, and, lastly, (5) the submission of the Second Quadrennial Report to the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2005 Convention.
